(POS)

Last updated: 28 May 2026

Kraken POS is point-of-sale software made by Dua Digital Solutions and used by restaurants and cafés (the "Merchant") to take orders and manage payments. This policy explains what the app collects, how, and why.

What we collect and why

  • Staff name, role and a hashed sign-in PIN — to sign staff in and attribute orders.
  • Orders and payments (items, totals, and the payment method and amount) — to run the point of sale and produce the Merchant's sales records.
  • Customer credit accounts (name and phone number) — only where the Merchant runs tabs.
  • Cash and end-of-day totals — for the Merchant's accounting.
  • Limited diagnostic logs — to keep the app running reliably (kept 7 days).

We do not collect card numbers, location, advertising identifiers, or data from the device camera, microphone or photos.

How it is stored and shared

Data is stored on the iPad and synced over an encrypted connection to a cloud database hosted by Supabase, our infrastructure provider. Sign-in PINs are stored only as one-way hashes. Supabase processes the data solely to provide this hosting and is bound to protect it. We do not sell data or share it with anyone else.

Retention and deletion

Sales and accounting records are kept for as long as the Merchant uses the service; diagnostic logs are kept 7 days. To access or delete data, contact the Merchant operating the app, or email us and we will assist.
